My favourite comedian of all time is Tom Stade. This man is hilarious; Google him if you don’t know who I’m talking about-he will have you in stitches. One of his best gags is a joke about Primark where even he (as a Canadian man) notices that it looks like a jumble sale half the time. The tale continues “you like your cheap shit here man, I’m convinced nobody goes there to buy anything but just to mess the place up!” I agree Tom, “just coz stuff is cheap, don’t mean you gotta chuck it around!” Well, Tom, I am having a SALE! Not quite cheap enough to chuck it around but definitely bargain prices.
If you have been reading this blog from the beginning, you will already have a sense of the journey I have been on and I do hope that this is just the start. This sounds a bit out there, but as a designer I felt as though I spent at least 18 months ‘finding myself’. Style is very individual and my dress sense has always been on the quirky side of cool; a little bit tom boyish with a bit of Victorian elegance. So, to have created a range of bags that I truly believe suit me as a person is a triumphant position to be in.
The styles that will be on sale have brought me to where I am today. Me, but a bit… erm? So, each bag has Butterfly Tree official logos and labels, essence and ethos, and are in my opinion, stepping stones towards perfection in terms of finding ME.
